Wouldn’t it be lovely if everyone left you alone to get on with your thing. If you had the time, a week maybe, or two, to focus focus focus. If there were no distractions, no interruptions, no repetitive wasteful nonsense.
Not gonna happen.
Your day-to-day is the same as every leader’s day-to-day. A little bit of this, a little bit of that, nudging here, nudging there, and carving out a little space, maybe on Tuesday, to do the thing. And then Tuesday happens, and it’s as crazy as all the others.
The only way is to treat it like chilli, with the respect it needs. If it was paid client work, you’d find the time, you’d find the focus. You know you can do it, because you do do it. So do it on your own thing too.
Skippy strategy: Treat your own project like is isn’t your own project.
