Don’t be fooled

In your chair, it’s likely that you’re comfortable and excited about the journey. That you understand how things are, but have an appetite for moving on, speeding up, switching things out and buckling up when new ways of doing new things are coming down the track.
In their chair, it’s less likely they’re so up for it. Maybe they like the current way, maybe they’re still getting to grips with the last time you changed things, maybe they see risks where you’re blinkered to see only benefits, maybe they’re interested in a slightly easier life for a slightly lower thrill.
Back in your chair, don’t imagine that everyone’s with you from the off, don’t assume they understand what you’re trying to do and why, and don’t be fooled into thinking they’re against change just because they ask questions.
