Doing new things, whether it’s the smallest small project or the grandest grand endeavour, means doing things that are … errrm … new. At least to some. At least for now.

Interested observers, the ones who care (the one’s you should care about) will be curious.

– Where are you now? This is about where you’ve come from and where you’re going, the progress you’ve made and your pace against the plan.

– Where are you struggling? Everybody gets bogged down, there’s always something in the way. What is it and how are you dealing with it? Are you coping or are you stuck?

– If they really care … how can they help? They’ll offer introductions and resources to get you over the humps. If it would help.

Don’t wait to be asked.

Keep track, identify the issues, ask for help when you need it.

Skippy strategy: Every day: ask and answer the three questions.
