How does your organisation work? I don’t particularly mean how does the money flow (although, how does the money flow?). I mean, what do you do that works, what do you do when it’s day to day, run of the mill, this is how we do things around here when we don’t think about how we do things.
That’s how your organisation works.
And for most of us, it’s not pretty. We do some things in ways we’re proud of, the rest of the time we muddle through, squidge things around the edges, make it up as we go along … get away with it.
The job is to learn how an organisation like this could (should?) work, and then do that.
