Picking partners

Prickly

Some people, let’s assume they’re on the other side of the table, some people will always seek every advantage and take every opportunity. They’ll take any attempt to build bridges or meeting the middle and a sign of weakness and use that middle as the new frontier, expecting you, pushing your, bullying you to give ground again, and again. These are not the people you want to work with – even if by chance they surprise you on your own side of the table too.

The people you want to work with are those always looking for advantages for all, for opportunities to make everyone’s life better. They’ll build relationships on the assumption of win-win, and the only ground they’re interested in is the stuff you’re speeding over as you make progress together.

Skippy strategy: Picking partners, in every situation, is about finding people you actively want to work with.
