Play the hand

Cleft

Towards the end of things, when the thing really is the thing it’s going to be and there’s no more time or money or energy or whatever left for more talking or selling or convincing or cajoling or developing or polishing, when the only thing left to do is to let it play out.

It’s not comfortable. Mostly because it’s not what you’re used to with all your bias-for-action and your take-control-skew and your there’s-always-a-way-attitude. It’s serious. It’s definitive.

Thing is, this is the way it’s supposed to be, it’s the way it was always going to be – because it’s not a finish line, it’s the beginning of the next stage.

Not  passive, you have to play the hand you’re dealt, it’s chips on the table time, look them in the eye time, and see what you will see.

Skippy strategy: Heads-up, play the hand you have.
