What happens when you let things happen on their own? How is quality, volume, velocity, cadence? What does marketing say and do? How about the engine room, does it whirr and whizz or splutter and stutter? Do things move ahead or get caught in their complexity? Which lights shine and who goes missing?

That is your organisation. That is your team. It what happens when you stop making things happen.

Now you know, you can do something about it. First up, place responsibility where you can now be sure it will be well used. Next up, move aside whatever is in the way – could be people or processes, could be bottlenecks or blockers, could be politicians or buck passers.

That is your job. Making yourself not be the one that makes everything happen.

Skippy strategy: Make it so good things happen even when you don’t make good things happen.
