If the customer calls, chances are you’ll pick up the phone, answer the email, or agree to the meeting. They’re important. A priority. ‘nuff said.

The point of the organisation, the actual reason you build or find yourself in organisations that are bigger than just you on your own, is that you can achieve more together than you can apart. Sometimes, not most times, the work is a solo effort. You pick it up at the beginning and carry it all the way to the end, on your own, and you might feel pretty mighty for doing it.
Most times though, if not every single time, you are part of something bigger. The reason you can focus on this thing is because someone else is doing something vital so you have the time. Your response involves others, your effort loops in others, your delivery will include others. It’s not a solo effort, none of us are one man bands, and we only win as part of the team.
