The plan loses

Saltcoats

There are certainly people sitting around waiting for something to do. You’re probably not one of them. You’re probably maxed out fighting the good fight of getting through the day and trying to keep everyone on as even a keel as possible, whilst trying to get actual things done.

So then there’s the plan – probably not your plan, probably drawn up by someone who is point focused and has nothing else to do. Not so much a plan as a fantasy, one based on an ideal notion of everyone being in the same position as them, with one thing and one thing only on their mind.

So what happens when the ideal plan meets the maxed out players? The plan loses, the players lose and everyone gets frustrated with everyone else. And that’s no way to get actual things done.

Skippy strategy: Plans only work when they work with the workers.
