The problem is inside

There’s a problem.
We all know it’s there, and we kinda-sorta talk about it all the time.
All the time.
All the damn time.
We give it sideways glances, put our toe in its waters, sneak up behind it and look over its shoulder. We’re trying not to crush the eggshells around it. But we’re not actually talking about it. We’re allowing it to continue, to cascade into new problems.
And we know we’re doing it.
And we keep on doing it anyway.
By not dealing with it, we’re dealing with its consequences every day, and we’ll continue dealing with them until we deal with the cause.
Until we open that difficult looking door and work it out, and take whatever actions are necessary. Until it’s done.
So there’s a problem, and the problem is inside.
