The way of the fix

It really doesn’t matter that things go wrong. Well, it matters to the extent that you have to fix them, and you do fix them, and everything becomes balanced in the universe. That matters. What matters in the wider scheme is not so much the fix itself, but the way of the fix.
The way you communicate about the issue in the first place. Not with denial or distraction or obfuscation, but with honesty and openness and humility.
The way you communicate during the issue. Not with silence or a saw tooth, but with inclusion – when you tell them what you’ve considered and what you’ve chosen and how it’s working and what are the risks and how you’re managing the contingencies.
The way you communicate with them – as a partner, an equal, or an unhappy irritation.
