When you hesitate

I don’t know. I don’t know what we’re trying to do and I don’t know why.
With your head down and working on the day to day, you can fall into a pattern, a practice, a process, a way of working, where what you do is what you always do, where the actions you’re involved in have a higher profile than the point of the actions. A bit like going through the motions, a lot like same ol’ same ol’.
Pull the handbrake. Take a quick minute with the deeper questions. Is this still valid, are we moving in the direction we want to move, is there a better way, is there a faster, cheaper, smarter way? Pay attention when you hesitate.
The big trick is to listen to your own answers. If you’re on the wrong road, change it.
