Ask your team

It’s surprisingly easy to find better ways to do what you do. Not what you do individually – although probably that too – but what your team does. They do what they do, mostly, because that’s the way they were shown to do it, that’s the process that’s in place, that’s what’s demanded by the tools that are to hand – that you put in their hands.
When you want to find a better way – and when don’t you? – all you have to do is ask.
Ask, what’s in your way? What’s frustrating about the way we do things around here? How would we do things if we we’re starting again? Where is the source of inefficiency, or fun, or complexity, or name-your-issue, in our process? What can we do better?
Skippy strategy: If you want to know how to get your team to do things better, ask your team to work it out.
