Been a while

Now you think about it, it’s been a long time since you sat down for a decent one on one chat with most people in your team. That might be great. They may be working to a strong brief, be highly motivated, and used to working to their own initiative from beginning to end of a project. Some people are only truly productive when left to their own devices.
More likely though, if it’s been a while, it’s not so great.
Team meetings are good for updates on group progress and making sure the leg bone’s connected to the head bone. They’re great any time you need to prioritise the many.
More often than you think though, you need to prioritise the one.
For unfiltered dialogue and to build the understanding and trust that only grows by spending undistracted time with one another.
