Filled with pictures

Some of us are happy with concepts. We like models and ideas and what ifs, we love thinking about and working from first principles, digging imaginary footings, laying foundations and building from the ground up. We like thought experiments as much as the outputs.
Some of us work better with reality. We like to get our hands dirty doing the actual work, we like playing with clay instead of concepts, we prefer the end game to the rule book.
In any creative pursuit where you need space bigger than a phone box, you need to find room for both kinds of happy. Start with principles, jump to reality, drag the two ends towards the process. Start with a question about the end game, double back to mine for principles, pull the two ends together with pictures.
Skippy strategy: For robust projects – a big whiteboard filled with pictures and principles.
