It drifted

There come times when the partnership isn’t working the way you anticipated.
It was, but it drifted.
Things were good, and they no longer are.
Like with all things, naming the issue is normally the biggest contributor to solving the issue. So step one, of course, is to call it out and talk about it, then hit the reset button with everyone clear whether this is the new normal or whether new ground rules are needed (and what they are).
The other of-course … maybe it’s time to move on. The partnership served its purpose, and that drift? … inevitable when you take a long cold hard look at how things have evolved. One partner no longer needs the other. The balance that kept things even, now leans left.
Whatever the current reality, strong partnerships are built on, and always need, candour.
Skippy strategy: If it isn’t working, do something about it.
