Let them in

Without effort, without thought, without putting ourselves out a little bit, the default place of work is in the tight little silo inside our heads. We know what we’re thinking but nobody nobody else does. They may see us doing something, they may even hear us talk about what we’re up to, but without the context of the thought process, they’re on the outside looking in.
Assuming for the moment that we do indeed know what we’re doing, we even know why and we have a pretty clear picture in our heads that connects the dots from where we are today to where we know we want to go. They don’t. They just assume we’re doing our thing.
That might be fine for lone rangers, but that’s not us. We need to invite them inside our head – this is what I’m thinking, this is how we help each other.
Skippy strategy: Invite them in.
