Take a walk
There are people on your team you should take a walk with. You’d naturally benefit from getting to know each over better but the big upside – on both sides of the table – is from a direct and candid conversation about how things are going with insights into exactly what’s going on.
They, for one, are doing things that you barely understand or even know about, they are closer to the actual work and are probably adding to the actual value being delivered. They might talk to more customers about more things that you and if there’s any way you can tap into that action it’s worth the effort.
You, for another, are doing things – not secret things – they’d appreciate hearing from the source. They’ll feel included, because they are, and they’ll likely commit to the cause even more.
