The punchee

Every now and again, you take a hit. Them punches, eh! Tough to take but you get over it. If you’re smart you take the lesson that was along for the ride – about you or your team or your work or your product, whatever – and grow just a little bit. Most times for the better.

Switch it.
Sometimes, you’re the puncher.
You don’t want to do it, you don’t like to do it … you gotta do it … so maybe you hold back from doing it.
Two things: you’re not doing your job, and you aren’t respecting the punchee’s ability/need to roll with it.
Skippy strategy: Treat them like grown-ups.
