Prepare to act, act

There’s a difference.
Plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, plan, do … is very different from prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, prepare, do … is very different from prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, prepare, do, do, do, do.
(Let’s not talk about … muck about, procrastinate, fiddle, pretend, get distracted, try for a bit, avoid the issue, get stuck in at the last minute, rush, rush, rush.)
Of the three options more reasonable options, order of preference is largely in reverse order.
- All plan and very little do has it’s place; most times when the journey is entirely can be taken inside your head.
- Mostly preparation followed by near-perfect execution is the way to go for a one-hit, no second-chances, demonstration of performance chops.
- Mixing preparation and doing gets the most learning, most potential for course-correction and most work done.
Skippy strategy: Prepare to act, act. Learn and repeat.
