The easy way
You’re asked to do something outside your standard operating model, maybe you’re intrigued by doing those kind of things, maybe it’s actually your idea to break…
The easy way, assuming some level of success to date, is to keep on carrying on. To do more today of what you did yesterday. To bask in the effects, sat back, taking in all that you survey with satisfaction in the knowledge that all of the efforts up to now have delivered the green and pleasant land you now inhabit. That’s the easy way.
Of course, it probably won’t stay easy. The world will continue to turn and what was deemed great yesterday and is only good enough today will be barely up to the mark tomorrow and then way behind the curve after that. Then you’ll be forced into an entire different game or struggling to play catch-up, neither of which is easy.
The real easy way then is to keep on building on, always nudging, polishing, improving, evolving.
