Confused and irritated

Barrel

When it comes to our team, we’re used to doing what we like and getting what we want.

If we think it’s a good idea to have the meeting today, or tomorrow, or next Tuesday – that’s what we get. If we want to break off at short notice, reprioritise at the last minute, jump from subject to subject or project to project – we (kid ourselves we) have a a good reason and we just get on with it.

And all the time, we set an example – and some of our people will follow our model.

And all of that time, we leave people in our wake – getting frustrated, confused and irritated.

And both of those things might be ok, but probably not.

The answer, make active choices. Think before you bounce, and think about explaining why too.

Skippy strategy: Set the example you want, bring your people with you.
