Spread the threads


Communications. Getting the message across. Bringing everyone with you. Keeping them in the loop. Putting them in the picture. Making sure everyone’s on the same page.

All very one-way traffic.

All very me-to-you.

All very much about your world view, your choice of what to share, your agenda, you, you, you.

And, for the avoidance of doubt … all very necessary.

But communications is a two-way street. It’s not only about speaking, it’s about listening. It’s about tapping in to flow, hearing what’s happening, connecting A to B to C to decisions to exemplars to faster to higher to greater.

Improving communications in your organisation includes sharing from the front, but a weekly, monthly, quarterly pep rally doesn’t do the job. What does … are systems that ensure intelligence flows from where it is today to where it’s useful tomorrow.
