Buckle under

Nothing is quite as simple as it seems from the starting gate. More complexity, more nuance, more moving parts, more thinking, more vested interests, more if-this-then-that, more connections, more worries, more convincing and cajoling and updating and technology and systems and processes and all the little things you could and couldn’t foresee that stand between where you are and where you want to be.
You could be beaten back, buckle under the overwhelming effort of pushing the rock up the hill and the disappointment of feeling, always, that you’re nearly nearly nearly there right before the next set back or step into deeper complexity.
Or you can suck it up, realise that this, this is the price of entry and this and this are pieces of the pie that need to be stacked, the jigsaw that need to be slotted into shape.
