To bed

Camel

At the end of the day, at the end of the project, at the end of the season, at the end of the year, take a moment. Gather the people involved, share the stories, celebrate the highs, remember the lows, learn the lessons.

Partly it’s the ceremony of closure; of putting the old to bet before we turn to the new. Partly it’s the building of a shared memory; a place we can all look towards and understand as a group, nothing (or not much) out of place. Lastly, it’s the opportunity to pull away from the endless loop and spin towards a new horizon; one where the good is retained and the bad is removed or remodelled.

When you’re putting things to bed – they are what they are. No need to score points. The lesson is from reflection.

Skippy strategy: Review the project, give it room to breathe.
